In Australia, it is presently winter and I feel the cold pretty badly.
(Doesn't help that I currently have one also)
And so, I got so fed up with having cold hands and only cruddy gloves, I decided to be proactive.

Why Starly? I was inspired by a great conversation I had :D And well, it's Starly.
The pattern and everything was designed and made from scratch. I'm surprised they turned out -- thanks to not feeling all that crash-hot, my mind's been a bit addled today.

Hey Pokemon! Just a quick AX report--yesterday I saw no less than four Ashes, one Gary (complete with car), one Misty, one Dawn, and one set of Magma/Aqua grunts (who told me they had indeed had children yelling at them they were evil.) I got pictures of them all, but it's a film camera so you'll have to wait til Saturday (when all the Pokemon cosplayers are getting together) for pictures, cos that's when I'll bother to develop everything if there's a cheap place around here. Oh yeah, there was also a Pikachu-girl and an Umbreon-girl, and yes, I got pics of both. And that was just Thursday! It makes me sad Artists Alley has no pictures of Ash though. I had to actually commission one.

Anyway, if anyone else is here, con adventure reports are awesome. Especially if you were the one playing the hot Ash. I mean, DAMN.

So, as a big fan of Magic: The Gathering, I've been eyeing the pokemon TCG for quite some time now, but never really felt justified with buying a deck. I went to my boifriend's house this past weekend and found his large collection of pokemon cards. The majority of them are just duplicates, but from what I understand they are all first edition, because all of the pikachu cards look like this:
  
But I digress. How is the pokemon TCG? I assume it is just a similar version of MTG. Is it fun? Is the average age of players 6, like I fear? He has no energy cards, so I can't play right away but I thought I would ask just the same. Where can I find out how to play?

___Green Day's timeless anthem for the unemployed describes the kind of boredom worsened by an absolute lack of motivation to get up and do anything. Losing interest in masturbation is noted as a bad sign. Given the success of the song which itself was written as a morning afterthought to a bass line written the night before, the subject of the song is nearly ironic.

___This pretty track from the Beta Band's final album feels so woozy and hypnotic it can only be described as a lethargic love song. While up to the usual well-layered harmonies that came from this group, the vocals are cooed in such a seemingly effortless way that the nuanced effect is a rich but relaxed sound. Lyrically, it evokes a feeling of fully realized -- but lazily pursued -- admiration for another.

___This electronica duo being among the first to incorporate house with genres not always packaged for dance clubs, Leftfield were masters of creating a more loungy but upbeat sound. This track was composed for a sequence on a bus in Trainspotting and it seems rather ideal for long-distance headphone listening. In any case, I can only imagine sitting still listening to this one (unless you're more prone to shooting up in the bathroom).

This morose traditional ballad was most famously performed by Bob Dylan on his Bootleg series and covered by Bob Forrest for the soundtrack of the Dylan sorta-biopic I'm Not There. First of all, a few messages to people. To people who purchased things from my sale post: I haven't been able to ship your stuff out yet (except for rinkatink and tonko_ni) because I wasn't able to get any more bubble envelopes (the store didn't have anymore), and I am leaving for a couple days of needed relax, so I'll probably send out everything on Monday/Tuesday. The female Great White shark, which is about 4 feet 2 inches long, was accidentally caught Monday by a fisherman off Ventura.
Researchers studying the great white shark in Malibu are trying to decide if it will be able to live with other inhabitants of the Monterey Bay Aquarium.

 So I guess the question is: "Does she play well with others?"

I'm still pretty much new to the pokemon series so forgive me if I missed anything.

I missed the Johto episodes when it aired so I've been slowly trying to catch up while CN is airing them at 7 and 7:30am. The first episode that aired at 7am, I caught a part of the announcement saying that new episodes are being aired on Monday. I wasn't sure what that meant so I looked around online and failed to find anything.

Just a few seconds ago, it announced they're airing new episodes on Monday at 7am while showing Misty. What does that mean?

My schedule shows:

7:00 AM - (2003) Address Unown!
7:30 AM - (2003) Mother of all Battles

It never aired in the states? Did they fix it up or...? Why are they claiming the episodes are new?

The next person who asks if I've thought about using meditation instead of medication is going to get smacked up side of the head with a clue. Or, more realistically, have their shoes puked on.

If I could think myself better, I would have done it before spending the past decade in isolated, freaking out, misery. It took me *years* to be able to admit that yeah, I've got a problem. It took more years for me to be able to say that to someone else, and ask for help. Let's not talk about what it took for me to actually make a call and go to the doctor's appointment.

I am not taking a pill because I think that I should be perfectly happy all the time and medication will give me that. I'm taking it so I can leave the house. Ever.
